TISSUE IMAGING SERVICES FOR DRUG DISCOVERY:
Disease is ultimately caused by changes in the molecules and cells that define how a tissue functions and interacts with the other tissues in our bodies. The Strateos Tissue Technology group is advancing drug discovery programs by developing high-throughput automated tissue sectioning and analytical imaging technologies.
Our goal is to help our customers link molecular and cellular functions throughout different tissue and organ structures. Through our innovative tissue profiling service, we help enable researchers to identify disease-causing transitions earlier in the onset of disease so they can intervene with more insight and at earlier stages.
By acquiring granular molecular and protein profiles within tissues, we create an information-rich picture of dysfunctional mechanisms overlaid on distinct tissue areas. Together, these “structure + function” tissue imaging modalities create significant opportunities to identify new therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers.
High-throughput Sectioning & Analysis
Automated tape-based capture and staining of tissue sections open a significantly larger data pipeline than previously available to the histology field. Our platform allows for faster and more extensive data collection than ever before, to support tissue analysis for drug discovery. Entire tissue volumes are digitized to increase the chances of identifying rare events. The structural profiles are enriched further by interlacing sections treated with different stains or IHC reagents. We also use alternating tissue sections for analyte identification and molecular analysis. Reassembling all of this volumetric data then creates a more insightful picture of the tissue’s status.
